Yesterday was another glorious day in the Midwest. The sun was shining and it was warm out. Odd for mid-November, but I took advantage of it. Multiple walks outside with the puppies and a long bike ride while talking on the phone with my cousin.
Last night we were invited to Supper Club by my neighbor Diane. I was in charge of dessert. Yeah, my favorite thing to make. And since I wasn’t sure how many attendees we’d have I decided on two delicious desserts!
I had one can of pumpkin left. I had bought multiple ones at the beginning of the season since there was a shortage last year, I decided I’d better stock up. So I used up my last can and made pumpkin cookies, some with butterscotch chips and some with milk chocolate chips. I got the recipe here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Pumpkin-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies.
And I made more Oreo Cheesecake pretzel bites, drizzled with white chocolate. They are so popular that I have made them 3 times already. Thanks Picky Palate! http://picky-palate.com/2010/08/26/oreo-cheesecake-pretzel-bites/ And my mom even took some ingredients from me to make them herself for a women’s gathering she is hosting at her house. Such a cute little, bite-size treat!
Supper Club was alot of fun and I really enjoyed hanging out, eating too much, and talking with some good friends. Eventhough we live so close, sometimes it seems we are so far apart!
