Do you need a big bowl of crunchy goodness for your guest to munch on?
This is a no silverware required, dig your hands in, kind of treat, the Scene’s style!
Original CHEX party mix
3 c. CORN CHEX
3 c. WHEAT CHEX
3 c. RICE CHEX
1 c. mixed nuts
1 c. mini pretzels or pretzel sticks
1 c. Cheez-it crackers
1 c. Goldfish crackers, any flavor
1/2 c. plain Cheerios
1 c. garlic flavor mini bagel chips
8 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. seasoned salt
3/4 tsp. onion powder
To prepare: In large bowl mix cereals, nuts, pretzels, and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwaveable bowl, melt butter, about 40 sec. or until fully melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Heat oven to 250 degrees. Spread cereal mixture onto 2 large roasting pans. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread out on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
When I was a child, I remember having this snack every hear around the holidays. And still to this day, my mom makes it year after year.
