Desert not Dessert

Looking forward to arriving in the desert soon!

I don’t care if it’s dry there.  In fact I am happy it will be dry.  Because there is powdered sugar sprinkled all over the grounds at home!

Love the cactus and flowers of the desert~

Maybe I’ll see another ring around the sun while I am there~

It’s going to be warm, in the mid 70’s.  I might want to sit out by the pool to read and enjoy the scene~

And my husband will be enjoying some time on the links~

We will be celebrating a special guy’s birthday too~

I love the vacation mecca known as the “Valley of the Sun!”

Sun.  Warmth.  Sonoran Desert.  Camelback Mountain.  Palm Trees.

Where is somewhere that is paradise for you?

I believe shopping counts as cardio, tea cannot be too sweet, anything orange (and sparkly!) can cure a bad mood, and no one can have enough clothes, accessories or shoes. I love to bake, indulge in celebrity gossip, cupcakes, reality tv, photography, travel anywhere new or places that I've already graced, spend time with my family and live life the way I am meant to. I am in love with my iPhone, husband and 2 wrinkly shar-peis. Join me on the journey of my candy coated life. Fasten your seatbelts! This is the scene from ME!

  1. I can’t wait to go to Puerto Rico with my swim team. I’m tired of all this snow.

Did you take those pictures? What sort of camera do you use? I’m in the market to upgrade mine.

    • When I travel I use a Nikon Coolpix S230. I have a big camera at home that I take my food photos with, but I don’t remember exactly what it is, so I will have to get back to you when I return there 🙂 Thank you for the compliments Hollie! And all those photos were taken by me on previous trips to Arizona.
Puerto Rico will be a blast I am sure!!!

We’re obsessed with AZ as well! We actually got married in Scottsdale. I really really want to move there one day! I’m glad someone else thinks it’s paradise. Back in May, we stayed in Fountain Hills, just northeast of Scottsdale, and I think it’s now my new favorite place. Next time you go, check out this site: We stayed in a million $ house on the golf course with an infinity pool for an insanely cheap price.

  3. That’ll be soo nice! I wish I could spend summers in the desert. I don’t mind the heat..but it’s SO humid in Alabama. Hope you have a great time! 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful time in Scottsdale! My beautiful awesome daughter took me there to a spa a couple of years ago and it was fabulous! I hope to go back someday!
