As you can tell I have been posting many little bite-size snacks and dessert treats lately.
And that’s becauseI love to indulge in them 🙂
But also because I made up treat tins for my close neighbors and friends.
Here is what they received:
- Creme de Menthe Oreo Poppers
- Peppermint Oreo Balls
- Motherlode Pretzel Stix
- Peanut Butter Crunch Poppers
- White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread
- Santa Salsa
While 4 lbs. of tomatillos only made 6 jars of Santa Salsa, I could not give the salsa to everyone that I gave the treat tins too. Shucks! Wish I had made more. But there is this thing called time that I don’t seem to have enough of.
I packed each treat seperately in a cute little bag with twist tie as I didn’t want to put them in the same tin without being bagged up. That would have made the peanut butter taste like peppermint peanut butter. Ick. Maybe I shouldn’t knock it, I’ve never tried peppermint peanut butter. Have you?
Sorry for the poor light quality. It was midnight and I was in the kitchen working 🙂
I found some cute holiday recipe cards, wrote out all the items they were receiving and added it to the top of their treat tin. As well as a link to where they could find these fabulous recipes at.
All in, I spent 12 hours in the kitchen making, packaging and preparing these treat tins for my friends and neighbors. So I hope they appreciated my homemade gift!
And the morning I delivered all these goodies; we had a fresh snow fall of 4 inches. A perfect addition to my holiday giving mood!
What is a homemade gift that you would like to receive this year?
Cheers~
Amy
