Hi! Long time, no recipe huh?
I just returned from 8 nights away with some fabulously fun and fashionable ladies! We had a wonderful time exploring the islands, eating some delicious meals, walking the beaches looking for shells, riding bikes to breakfast, collecting shopping bags and indulging in some great desserts.
We stayed 4 nights on Sanibel Island Florida and then 4 nights near Siesta Key on Longboat Key. Sanibel is a serene place that is not all commercially built up. We enjoyed being able to walk right out of our hotel room door to the pool and beach. Lots of shells on this island. We saw an alligator on our morning bike ride to breakfast and saw a guy catch a baby shark too. Yep, the same baby sharks we were swimming with in the ocean. Eek! We stayed on Lido Beach on Longboat Key and it was great having a room high up with great beach plus sunset views. We were so close to St. Armand’s Circle that we walked there for breakfast and dinner, not to mention all the great shopping stores where we collected more trophies! Siesta Key beach was a happening place for sure. But it was beautiful, just like Dr. Beach said. We definitely got our 8 days of funshine sunshine on this play-cation~!
Beautiful beaches, clear brilliant blue skies, blaring golden sun rays, sand like powdered sugar and water blue like the Caribbean.
Lots of pictures ahead!
That’s me, my aunt, my sister-in-law (plus 1) and my mom.
What happens on Sanibel…we talk about all week! This chair was at the Island Cow restaurant.
J U M P !
Doing the vacay-sway! Do you have that Old Navy commercial stuck in your head yet?
Ft. Myer’s Beach sunset!
That’s my mom above with me and my sister-in-law who is expecting. I’m gonna be an aunt!
Sarasota Cupcake Co. was our nightly indulgence! I am eating one like a Hostess cupcake and my sister-in-law is eating a peanut butter and jelly one, both had fillings!
Sunset on Lido Beach!

Dr. Beach named Siesta Key Beach the #1 Beach in the USA for 2011.
But I wanna know…
What do you think is the most beautiful beach in the United States?
i went to siesta keys years ago… we got rained out half the time and the beach had a red tide (where the fish die and are washed onto shore) but the food there was amazing! a little italian place with the best gnocchi and coffee cream pie…. glad you had such awesome weather!
We ate at an Italian place called Matzaluna and it was really delicious!
Great photos..ladies + sun = good times!
Hmm, I think Destin (in Fl) is quite beautiful. Big Sur in Cali is breathtaking. And maybe Tunnels In Kauai.
Ahhh, I’d love to go to Destin someday. I have been to Maui and there are some beautiful beaches there too. Just take me to a beach and I’m smiling!!!
I don’t think I have ever been to a beach!!!
Looks like you’ve been having some fun in the sun!!
Can you do a fashion post on your yellow dress!? I love everythign about it.
Target!
Ah love all your pictures (and bathing suits/dresses)! My family went to Sanibel Island when I was 17 and I LOVED it. I thought it was such a cute and relaxing place. My mom mainly went because there are some of the best seashell beaches there, but it was so much more too. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
I hadn’t been to Sanibel in14 years and nothing has much changed there. Still a great place to vacation.
ahh looks like an AMAZING TIME! I loveeee all your outfits and i am soo jealous of your tan 😉 haha you look F.A.B.
Thank you very much!
Looks like you had a great time! I love all of your bathsuits–so cute 🙂 My mom, her sisters (all 4 of them) and my grandma get together every year in FL and when I can I join them! We always spend time on Anna Maria Island but I think most if not all beaches in FL are gorgeous!!
I am so jealous!! those pictures are amazing and you look gorgeous girl 😀
Thank you Jenny!
You look stunning in all the photos, girl 🙂 Looks like a GORGEOUS beach–wow!
Awwww what a great vacay y’all had!!!! I recognized some of your Sanibel pics… Pinnochio’s Icecream and The Greenflash (on Captiva) are two of my favorites!!! Oh, and of course dessert from the Bubble Room– their cake is AMAZING!
The orange cake was very good at The Bubble Room. So was the orange breakfast roll at the Over Easy Cafe.
Wow, such gorgeous pictures full of color! I love the Island Attitude pic and the striped dress along with the pic of you third from the bottom—Love the colors!! Your family is so cute. I need to try that cupcake place when I’m in the Sarasota area-glad to see you had a fun, relaxing time!
Thank you! Sarasota Cupcake Co. is delicious. We went there 4 nights in a row if that tells you anything. Also a must try when in Sarasota is Yogurtology. Hands down the best self-serve fro-yo place I’ve been to. Thanks for the compliments!
I love South Beach! I don’t think it’s the most beautiful by any means, but it definitely has the best people watching!
I think you need to do posts about your fitness routine- you’re cut girl! It’s not easy staying lean! BTW- those are the cutest swimsuits on Earth!
Planks!
Thanks for the sweet comments, I love suits with ruffles on top!
